City of Rome Pipe Band was born in 2001 as the first pipe band in Italy.
Our Tartan was created in 2005, due to the partecipation to World Championship in Glasgow, with all the representative colours of the city of Rome.
The band had an intense concert activities through all these years and had collaborations with artists like Hevia and Claudio Baglione, partecipating to television broadcasts both for RAI and for private broadcasters.
The CRPB was hosted by Rome Opera House for the New Year’s Eve 2023 during the event “Capodarte”. The band is a regular guest at the Stadio Olimpico for the Six Nations Rugby, playing the Scottish Anthem on the field. The pipe band is also often called for celebrations at British Embassy, Italian State and Holy See.
Actually, the City of Rome Pipe Band is formed by 12 elements (Pipers and Drumcorp) and it is a Cultural Music Association with Berardo Di Mattia as President, Francesco Badaloni as Pipe Major and Alessio Cavaliere as Drum Sergeant.
