Geneva – Switzerland
In 1891, a group of parents set up an association to manage a collective of about thirty young musicians. A number of new recruits soon joined this collective. Ondine genevoise was born and adopts a sailor suit for its musicians.
Today, Ondine genevoise is a music academy that offers high-quality musical training to its 140 students aged 4 to 25. In addition, students benefit from learning music in groups from the beginning of their theoretical and instrumental training. They take part in auditions and public performances that allow them to showcase what they have learnt and help them to integrate – now or in the future – into the musical world of their choice.
Ondine genevoise, with its band and drum corps, participates in concerts, parades or public performances in Switzerland and abroad. It has had the privilege of performing in the USA, Japan, Canada and various European countries.
