The Banda Musicale Città di Cogoleto was born in the summer of 1997 by the will of a small group of young enthusiasts after years of absence of a band group in the town.
Thanks to the commitment of the president Nazzareno Cullia, the maestro Marcello Schezzi and the maestro Ambrogio Guetta, the band has grown both in quality and number of members, benefiting from the trust of the municipal administration and the esteem of citizens who have constantly supported it by participating in numerous concerts, both summer and winter. In the last decade, led by maestro Davide Calcagno and represented by president Nazzareno Cullia, the band has enriched itself with new players, young and old, who have brought enthusiasm and new energy.
Thanks to the wide repertoire, which ranges from classical music to pop music with particular attention to original compositions, the Band has participated in numerous civil and religious events, receiving invitations from other municipalities and establishing numerous partnerships with other bands.

At Villa Nasturzio, the masters Roberto Stuffo (reeds), Marco Caviglia (brass), Giorgia Calcagno (flute), Gianni Rivolta (flute) and Stefano Costa (percussion) conduct music courses for wind instruments and percussion with a focus on band music.
