France – Reignier-Esery

The municipal Band of Reignier-Esery is an association which was born in 1880 under the name of “L’éveil” (“The awakening”). Its ranks have progressively expanded and the Band has grown until it became known in the municipalities around Reignier.

Although 143 years old, this Harmonie has gradually moved away from the old image of the brass band without denying its musical origins.

Our ensemble is now composed of about thirty musicians, aged from 13 to 84 years. They perform varied pieces, from opera to jazz, including musical tales, film music and video games music… all under the direction of Carlo Cambiaso since 2002.

Each year brings new challenges for the musicians, and in this way they progress. And it is always with pleasure that they come to work on their instrument every week.
